7 Day Yoga Retreat in Taiwan
May 31 to June 6, 2026

Join Jean in an intimate Yoga Retreat in Jiaoxi, Yilan County, Taiwan. We will be staying at Ning and Pak’s Japanese inspired Hostel Tomato. Each morning you will start the day with your personal practice with guidance from Jean. In the afternoon we will have a combination of practical and theory sessions.

It’s a great opportunity to practice Yoga daily with Jean, be in good company and Taiwan is a great place to visit!

Yoga Schedule:
Sun, Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri:
Morning Practice 7:30am - 9:30am (independent practice)
Afternoon Sessions 2pm - 5:30pm (varied topics)

Tue & Sat:
Morning Practice 7:30am - 9:30am
Rest of the day free for sightseeing

Location:
Jiaoxi is famous for its hot springs. There’s lots to do in the area. You will have two afternoons free for sightseeing. Hostel Tomato is located in town, a few minutes walk from Jiaoxi station.

 
 

Hostel Tomato is a Japanese inspired hostel. The practice space only fits 8 people, so this will be an intimate, personalised experience. The hostel is in town near the railway station and close to cafes and restaurants. It’s a great base to explore the area.

Open-Air Hot Spring Bath

The rooftop semi-open-air hot spring uses Jiaoxi's natural, colorless, and odorless spring water. Enjoy a soak while taking in views of the Lanyang Plain.

Nearby Attractions:

Within a 10-minute walk, you can reach the Jiaoxi Bus Terminal, Jiaoxi Park, and the Jiaoxi Night Market.

​You can choose to go hiking or take a lake tour. Low-elevation trails like the Virgin Mary Hiking Trail (Matcha Mountain) and the Linmei Shipan Trail are not difficult, making them perfect for family outings. Along the way, you'll find clear streams, spectacular waterfalls, and lush forests.

​Longtan Lake is a paradise for lake lovers, with picturesque scenery that is truly refreshing. You can walk along the lakeside or take a boat tour to experience the atmosphere of the lake and mountain views.

​When night falls, besides soaking in the hot springs to wash away the day's fatigue, you can also visit the Jiaoxi Old Street Night Market to enjoy local snacks. It's a great place to buy souvenirs and local specialties to remember your trip.

You are welcome to bring partners or friends who won’t be practising Yoga, as long as they can stay with you in your room.

Costs:

Accommodation ($1063 - $1302) AUD depending on the room you have chosen. Twin share is possible only in the Deluxe Double rooms.
Yoga $850 AUD for 7 days

Flights:

You will need to arrive by Saturday May 30 in order to be ready to start early Sunday morning. We have the rooms booked from Saturday May 30 until Saturday June 6. Airport transfers are being researched at the moment. Flights are approximately $1150 direct from Melbourne to Taipei at the moment.

HOW TO BOOK:

To book your place you will need to pay a deposit of $200 (for the accommodation). Please fill out the form below.
In March, 2026 the Yoga payment will be due.
The balance payment for the accommodation will be due on May 1, 2026.
