Develop your sequencing skills as a Yoga teacher

WHAT WILL BE COVERED:

  • how to break down challenging asanas so you can create effective progressions

  • sequencing for individuals as well as group classes

  • sequencing to correct postural imbalances

  • understanding how to progress students with out injuries

  • sequencing for anatomical/functional goals such as “strengthening the upper back”, “releasing tension in the hip muscles”, “mobilising the ankles”.

  • sequencing to prepare for key asanas (such as headstand and shoulderstand)

  • effective counterposing to prevent discomfort after practice

  • understand the path of practice from beginner to more proficient practice

  • mapping out your own personal practice as a teacher over time

  • time for discussion and questions

  • optional sequencing assignments for you to take home and complete in your own time and then submit to Jean for feedback

This workshop is designed for Yoga teachers but could also be helpful for dedicated practitioners who wish to structure their own home practice. If you are not sure please contact Jean to discuss.

Jean Campbell has been training Yoga teachers since 2003 and specialises in teaching Anatomy. This workshop is based on her years of experience in helping Yoga teachers become more skilled and knowledgeable as well as more confident with their teaching.

10am - 4pm, 1 hour lunch break (5 hours in total)
