Saturday Morning Yoga Classes

Yoga uses movement and specific breathing techniques to improve your strength, flexibility, balance and reduce the impacts of stress.

In these Saturday classes, you will be guided through dynamic sequences of Yoga with postures modified to suit your level of experience and ability. To maximise the benefits, if you wish, Jean can provide you with a 5-15 minute personalised practice that you can do at home.

There are a maximum of 8 people in each class to ensure individual attention. The classes are designed for busy people who want to practice yoga but can’t attend lots of classes each week. By attending a class once a week and then having a short practice that you can do at home every day (or at least 3 times a week) you will notice significant improvements.

All equipment is provided. Just wear comfortable clothing. Mats are available for sale if you prefer to have your own.

FAQ

What level are these classes?
The classes are multi-level, meaning they cater for beginners through to experienced Yoga practitioners. Just let Jean know your level of experience when you arrive. If you have been practicing for a long time Jean can modify the poses to make them more challenging for you. As well as this, she can give you a more challenging home practice or a longer home practice.

I have an injury, can I still attend?
Jean specialises in helping people with injuries. She can modify the poses to make sure they are appropriate for you and give you poses to practice that may help improve or speed up your recovery. Please let her know when you book your class by filling out the notes section of the booking form or contact Jean if you are unsure. Jean offers private classes as well which may be more appropriate of your injury or condition is significant.

Can I attend the classes if I am pregnant?
If you are past 12 weeks, yes, you are welcome to attend the classes. Please let Jean know by email at least 1-2 days before the class. In the first 5-10 minutes of the class you will be given some different poses to practice, as this part of the class is not suitable during pregnancy. There will also be a few other times during the class where you will practice variations or different postures that are appropriate during pregnancy.
