DYNAMIC YOGA ANATOMY COURSE

Increase your knowledge, improve your practice and learn new teaching skills.

This 4 day in-person course spread over 2 weekends covers the fundamentals of anatomy and how they apply to yoga practice and teaching. You may be attending a yoga teacher training, wishing to refresh your previous anatomy study or just want to know more about the body and how to prevent injury for yourself and/or your students.

September 16-17 and September 23-24, 2023

Foundational, relevant anatomy

Jean has designed and structured this course in a way that is specially designed to help you integrate and comprehend the most practical aspects of anatomy study. This is the same course that she teaches within her own teacher trainings as well as a guest anatomy teacher in other Yoga teacher trainings.

WHAT WILL BE COVERED OVER THE 4 DAYS:

We will cover all the major joints of the body, discussing bones, joints, ranges of motion, muscles and possible reasons for muscular imbalance, restrictions and pain. Principles of injury prevention will be given in a concise and practical manner - meaning that you will be able to apply this knowledge immediately into your own yoga practice and teaching.

To help you integrate the information there are:

  • handouts and worksheets

  • assessment sheets for you to use when assessing your students (or yourself)

  • a final assessment you can complete (optional) to get a Certificate of Competency

Jean Campbell

Jean has been teaching Yoga since 1995 and training Yoga teachers since 2003. She specialises in teaching anatomy in a way that is practical, easy to comprehend and easy to apply to your yoga practice and teaching. She has taught trainings and courses in Malaysia, China, Germany and Switzerland, as well as her home country, Australia.

Many anatomy courses can be overwhelming. Often they include information that is very interesting but difficult to actually apply to your practice and feel in your body. From my perspective, if information can’t be used in your practice or teaching then it will be easily forgotten. If you can understand the information by applying it and feeling it in your own body or observing it in someone else’s body then you will retain it. I purposefully designed this course to teach you the anatomy concepts that will have the most impact on your practice and teaching.
